My version of Dr. Watson's reaction when Holmes returned to him after three years of everyone believing him dead at the Reichenbach Falls after a fatal battle with his arch nemesis Professor Moriarty.

Now the first two panels are canon of course, but what happened after that? I think it's pretty clear

That's what I would have done if I were poor Watson.

Dammit, Watson! Just buck up and tell us all that you at least hit the bastard! No way he could have just fainted and let it all slide with a "jolly good to see you, old chap" or such nonsense!
