I have been invloved in the Holmes-fandom since 2004 and started by watching Jeremy Brett series which also made me read the books: [link]

My favourite Holmes portrayals besides Brett include the BBC radio adaptations of the canon with Clive Merrison and the old TV series with Peter Cushing. The Lenfilm Russian Holmes series also has a place in my heart for being so adorable.
Also, I loved BBC's "Sherlock" as you might have guessed Sherlock and John in it are very close to how I actually imagine them.

The recent films and RDJ are not my thing.
